You may register online, by mail, phone, fax, or in person during regular office hours.
We will confirm your registration via email. If no email is provided, or the email cannot be clearly read, you will not receive any confirmation. You will be contacted if a class is full or canceled.
We accept cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa. Checks should be made payable to Minuteman High School. There will be an additional charge of $20 for any returned checks. Your space in the class will not be reserved until full payment is received.
A $10 processing fee will be charged for all refunds. Full refunds, minus the $10 processing fee, will be issued when a student withdraws more than 2 business days prior to the start of the class. A 75% refund, minus the $10 processing fee, will be issued to students withdrawing less than 2 business days prior to the start of the class and prior to the second class. Please note that if you are registered for an “In the Kitchen” class with food fees, no refunds will be issued for the food fees if you are withdrawing less than 2 business days. No refunds will be issued after the second class or after a one-night class has already taken place.
Certificates are available upon completion of a course. Please request this from your instructor prior to the end of the class.
Course Cancellations / Substitutions
Minuteman reserves the right to cancel any course due to low enrollment or substitute for a listed teacher. If a class needs to be canceled due to low enrollment, you will be notified 2 business days prior to the start of class.
Food, Books, and Supplies
Any food, books, or supplies required for classes are included, unless otherwise noted.
You may purchase gift certificates, good towards any class at Minuteman from the Community Education Office.
On days when the school is closed due to weather, there are no evening classes. On days when school is in session and evening classes need to be canceled, announcements will be broadcast on radio stations WBZ, WRKO, WBUR, TV channels 4, 5, & 7, Minuteman's website, via email to enrolled students, and the Community Education Office voice mail.
Morning classes: If the school has a one hour delayed opening, any morning classes will start at the regularly scheduled time. If the school has a delayed opening of two hours, morning classes will start at 10:00 am, and the missed hour will be made up at another time.
Unless accompanied by an adult, all students must be at least 16 years of age to enroll in the Continuing Education Program, with the exception of classes listed under "Young Adult", and lifeguarding or WSI classes. Accompanying adult must also enroll in the class.
No Smoking / Tobacco Law
In accordance with Massachusetts State Law and Minuteman's school policy, there is no smoking or tobacco products permitted anywhere on Minuteman property.
Students should follow the signs for Community Education Parking to the West lot, and enter by the cafeteria. Parking is prohibited on driveways, fire lanes, traffic lanes around the building, and the visitor parking lot in the front of the building. All vehicles must be removed from the campus by 10:00 pm Overnight parking is prohibited.
An Adult Continuing Education student requiring reasonable accommodations can request services by calling the Community Education Office. Minuteman will make every effort to accommodate a student's needs.
Minuteman Continuing Education courses operate on the school calendar. There are no classes during on the following days: February 15-18, April 18-21, and May 30.
Senior / Military Discount
Seniors or veterans are eligible for a 10% discount on all classes (no discount on material/book fees) by entering either SENIOR or MILITARY into the discount box during check out. Classes taught by CS Driving School, Middlesex Community College, and Scott's Stone Carving are not eligible for discounts.
